Next week, the BWF Superseries Tour and Team VICTOR will head back to Asia for the second Superseries tournament of the season, the India Open, taking place from March 24-29.
Doubles specialist
Ashwini Ponnappa, the Commonwealth Games 2014 silver and 2010 gold medalist, will be among India’s hopes of winning a title. Last year, the honors were shared by Chinese and Danes.

However, Team VICTOR’s
Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir is definitely one of those teams that are no stranger to the podium at the Siri Fort Indoor Stadium. Fresh off a final at the All England Open, the Indonesians are three-time winners between 2011-2013 and made the semis here last year.
Kim Ha Na of Korea was also creating some of her best results in India in 2014, scooping two silvers in women’s and mixed doubles, with partners Jung Kyung Eun and
Ko Sung Hyun respectively. But she will be preparing for the Superseries Premier leveled Maybank Malaysia Open the week after and will not come back to defend her points.
